A new road warrior for Ridder Drive Systems
After twelve years of faithful service and almost a million miles on the road, Ridders old haulage truck has been retired and replaced by a brand new model. The reason behind this is two-fold: further improve our services and increase our visibility in the Westland region.
The end of the line
After more than 12 years of loyal service and almost a million miles on the odometer, Ridders old haulage truck was in desperate need of replacing. Ridders self-owned truck is a key part of its commitment to customers and first-rate delivery service. Dick Venema, Ridders truck driver says: Customers have come to expect our fast delivery on every weekday. They usually know when I am coming. We take into account each customers situation when loading the truck. This includes whether cargo should be loaded at the back or the front, or on the left or right side of the truck, as well as the position of the pallets so they are easy to unload. Our prime focus is on service excellence and being able to unload the cargo quickly when you reach the customers location. The new truck not only has a striking appearance, but its larger size also gives us more options.
A moving billboard
Joachim Keus, Sales Manager of Ridder Drive Systems, says the following about the new truck: It was clear from the start that this truck would be seeing a lot of mileage in the Westland region. Our old truck was rather inconspicuous. Our new one is literally a moving billboard that definitely grabs your attention. We drive mostly through horticultural country, where Ridder and HortiMaX do most of their business. However, in deciding on the trucks appearance, we also had to keep in mind our customers in the intensive livestock farming sector. On a funny note, our driver Dick now has no trouble explaining what kind of cargo he hauls. He does not even have to use words; simply pointing to the side of the truck says it all.
